The other day, I had a smelt fishing experience at Shinotsu Lake.

Lake Shinotsu is about an hour away from Sapporo city.

I left early in the afternoon, so I arrived at the site and enjoyed fishing for about an hour and a half.

It takes a little getting used to the bait because you attach the insects yourself,

The trick is to lower the food to the bottom.

At Shinotsu Lake, you can enjoy fishing in a "tent", so you can comfortably enjoy smelt fishing without worrying about the cold.

Since it is a place outside the city, you can enjoy the scenery of THE Hokkaido along the way.

In the evening, you can see the sunset beautifully, so you can enjoy fishing and scenery at the same time!
