Hello. It is John Min.
I am currently struggling to open a cafe and community house "Story House" next month in 4 while I am a university student in Beppu, Oita Prefecture.
I'm from Korea and I moved to Hokkaido in the winter of 15 and lived for 3 for a year with both part-time and school. The guesthouse WAYA took care of 2019 in 2. I lived as a helper staff at WAYA for about 1 weeks because my house contract expired in 3 month and I planned to go on a trip to Southeast Asia in 3 month.
The staff of WAYA were very pleasant and kind. In addition, I was able to experience the guest house's day (from cleaning to replenishment of equipment) through the work of the helper. It was a meaningful experience as I was usually on the guest's side. I was particularly moved by the feeling of the guests being transmitted from the conversations between the staff and guests of the WAYA.
And watching the figure that Mr. Nagamasa, who is a curry barker who is renting at WAYA, carefully touches each and every customer who came to the shop, I realize a little bit that I really "interact with people seriously with people" Yes. I felt the basics that I can not forget but I will not forget from now on that each and every one of the staff of WAYA firmly faces the other party.
Taking advantage of my experience at this WAYA, I continue to have a cafe in Beppu. The interior of the university dormitory was changed to a cafe, creating a place where students can rest. In addition, we rent and also eat rice cakes to the local people. And we send out daily experience and learning through SNS and blog.

Lastly, it was a short period of 3 weeks, but I really appreciate the staffs of Mr. Shibata, Mr. Nakamura, Mr. Him and WAYA.
Please challenge your helpers at WAYA.
It is Seiya Otsuka who was working as a helper staff at Waya in XNUM X Month!
It was a short period of XNUM week a little because I was using university summer vacation, but I had a very intense time.
After returning from a journey that traces the origins of humankind, we are working to open a guesthouse for "creating opportunities for adventure and creativity."When I was just starting out, I was worried because I didn't know what to start with ...
So I heard that there were people who opened the guest house in Sapporo at the same age as 23 years old, and I flew! Lol
It was not long before I got out of work, the Hokkaido earthquake occurred, and I was out of power and food shortages. We learned a lot from the action of everyone of this time, the response as a guest house at the time of this time. At the same time, I became friends with Udon, the udon performer who came at this time, saved me when my house ran out, and returned to Tokyo to live together in an abandoned factory.
Many thanks to the people of Waya, such as the guest house summit and advice for opening the business!
Make yourself a great guest house like Waya, so stay tuned! ! ! ! !

Hello everyone
It is TERIYAKIKOUYA!
The encounter with WAYA was a good thing that I stayed when I was skiing in Hokkaido
I love skiing and taking pictures!
I wear skis for the first time around the age of 3, and since I participated in the alpine skiing competition, I have continued alpine skiing all the way to university students
I also like alpine skiing, but I also love free skiing, this photo is from Niseko!
We were blessed with snow this year and it was the best
It was a shame to fly here, but it was fun when I tried to fly
As for the ski area here, the scenery is wonderful in the place of grouse mountain in Canada, so please go!
Recently I am addicted to film cameras
A film camera costs money and hassle, but somehow it is good lol
And the T-shirt I'm wearing in this picture is the brand called nonsense. I'm branding with friends with me!
Selling on Instagram and online and having fun
I still have something I really want to write, but I have no writing skills, so I can expect sentences that I don't understand if I write any more, so it ends here
Finally, I will post a link with my nonsense. Account, so please check it out if you are worried!

nonsense.
Nice to meet you George!
I am a New Zealander who is 24 old and I am staying at Waya every time I come to Hokkaido!
I write poems as I work as an economic analyst.
You can do economic analysis anywhere with a personal computer, so I like to do it in a good guest house, even for people with good atmosphere like waya.
And I write the color poem from the story of various people.
I specialize in poems called Kokoro Sketches of the Fifty-Five and Five-Five, and this year I publish "The Second Book of George's Poems".
Once you're published, you can work in a colored place, go to a colored techno party, and come back to meet everyone!
Please take a look at George's haiku from the following URL!

Ever since I was very young, my image of Japan has always been very romanticized, this is a course thanks to movies, internet, music, food and all other kinds of arts. So after studying japanese in highschool for XNUM X years, I had decided I packed during the year, I have being december of X NUM X and this would have been actually my only trip alone with another country. I packed lightly, only my backpack and my warmest clothes, for I new Japan would be just as cold as Sweden, if not not even colder ...
You might wonder, why did I decide to visit Sapporo? Well… I had met a girl online who was teaching me japanese, and she happened to live in Sapporo, so I had to visit of course!
I found Guesthouse Waya on the app Airbnb and I picked it because the pictures made me feel like they would invite invite everyone to their family. This was also the case!
My very first memory of Guesthouse Waya was perfect.
It was sunny and snowy outside, and actually quite cold. So I felt really glad once I got to the door. When I opened and entered into Waya the first thing I heard was a familiar song playing. It was Anil at the reception who was playing the song “Arurian Dance – by Nujabes” on the computer and I knew instantly that life had taken me to where I belonged. I instantly asked the receptionist (Anil) if it was Nujabes playing and then followed up by saying that I loved this song. Guesthouse Waya is special, it is a meeting hub for travelers, artists, craftsmen and comedians, and everyone becomes part of the family.
There is a great adventure on the adventures and others performed beautiful songs on the instruments that have been performed with others. So the course I had to visit again. The second time I had to visit again. The second time I had to visit again. visit. This time I got to say farewell to my dear friends since they have a farewell party for several members, one of which was Anil, who had been my first memory of Waya, and now was going to move back to New York. Lots of food, cakes, drinks, live music, friends and family. The party continued to XNUM Xam in the morning thanks to the party who was loaded with so many emotions and feelings, so believe me when I say that it was a big party! the great idea of going to k araoke! One of my best nights in Japan ever, for sure!
My hobbies are XNUM X D sculpting as well as ceramics and making teapots with a neighbour. When I have something that I am proud to show I am studying business administration at a university in Stockholm and taking some Web-Design courses on the side. so on my Instagram account @ daniel_skogis Feel free to reach out if me you want to be friends!
The first reason I visited waya was to go to Borabit in Zubari and Naka Furano.
When I stopped at waya, I went to the parfait from the ramen ramen with the riders and Susukino, and I went to eat the soup curry with the keiske from the waya staff, and I have no memory to remember, It is one of the things that are connected to “Hokkaido!
Since then, I am currently studying in England.
I will return to Japan next year in 2.
Since that time I have been working hard on design, but I won the 3 position in the contest below! !

Waya is a very special place for me.
I also hope that I will always stop by at certain milestones.
When I stay at waya, I often go to eat ramen with all the staff.
I often come to Hokkaido.
Recently, I am director of a media company called MATCHA, which spreads the goodness of Japan to foreigners visiting Japan.
MATCHA:
By the way, there is also a personal blog, so please take a look!
In the Japanese Summer I travelled to Sapporo to cycle tour the coast road around Hokkaido.
I stayed at Waya Guetshouse while in Sapporo and it was an awesome place to stay.
They helped me with finding things in the city for the cycling trip and i was able to leave my bike box with them. The wasa was clean and safe and the bar was an awesome way to meet some locals.
I highly recommend Waya Guesthouse to anyone staying in Sapporo and i'll be back soon to cycle some routes through the interior.
